DeepSkyApps ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your personal information is collected, used, and disclosed by the Whisperer application.
2. No Account Required
You do not need to create an account to use Whisperer. We do not collect your name, email address, or phone number unless you voluntarily contact us for support. Your data primarily resides on your device.
3. Audio Processing & AI
To provide high-accuracy transcription and summarization, Whisperer utilizes secure, third-party AI processing services provided by OpenAI.
- Data Transmission: When you transcribe a recording, the audio data is transmitted securely (encrypted) to OpenAI servers for processing.
- Privacy & Compliance: OpenAI follows strict privacy standards (GDPR compliance). They do not use data submitted via their API to train their models.
- Data Retention: Audio sent for processing is not stored by us. OpenAI may retain data for a limited period (up to 30 days) solely for abuse monitoring, after which it is deleted.
4. Data Storage
Your transcripts, summaries, images, and folders are stored locally on your device. If you use iCloud Backup, this data will be stored in your personal iCloud account in accordance with Apple's security protocols. DeepSkyApps does not have access to your recordings or notes.
5. Third-Party Services
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personally identifiable information to outside parties. We partner with trusted providers like OpenAI strictly for the purpose of delivering the app's core functionality (transcription and summarization).

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
